HALCO and Partners Launch Legal Action to Stop Sharing of Positive COVID-19 Results With Police (Updated August 17, 2020)

On July 16, 2020, a coalition, including HALCO, launched an urgent court application challenging the Government of Ontario’s decision to share with police the personal information of Ontarians who test positive for COVID-19.

The coalition first sent a letter to the government on April 23, 2020. No response was received.

  • Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA)
