HALCO Raises Serious Concern with Ontario Decision to Share COVID-19 Test Results with Police and Others (Updated August 17, 2020)

In coalition with Aboriginal Legal Services, Black Legal Action Centre and Canadian Civil Liberties Association, HALCO sent a letter to Ontario’s Solicitor General outlining serious concern with the decision to provide police and other first responders with identifying information of people who test positive for COVID-19.

After failing to receive a response to the letter, the coalition successfully commenced a lawsuit against the province.
