Payday Loans from The Cash Store or Instaloans?

If you took a Payday loan or line of credit from The Cash Store or Instaloans in Ontario on or after September 1, 2011, you can collect money owed to you from class action lawsuit settlements.

You must file a claim by October 31, 2016.

You can file your claim online or by paper claim.  There are links below.  If you are eligible, you will receive a minimum of $50, or potentially more, depending on the total number of claims received and the value of the claims.

According to the website set up by the law firm representing borrowers (Harrison Pensa LLP), you do not have to provide much information because, as part of the settlements,  contact information and loan details were provided and the Court approved the sharing of that information.

If you believe that your loan information is incorrect or that the law firm does not have your loan information, you can provide further information and documentation to explain. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page lists examples of supporting documentation that you may submit.
